The Australia Day nine hole stroke event is fast approaching.

CHARLIE Francis was winner for the Monday niners (52-151/2-361/2) by half a stroke from Kevin McCormack (46-9-37).

There were no claimants for nearest the pins, but Dick Henderson managed to take the straightest drive ninth.

Lawrie West won the putting (14) and the John Oakley held the lucky card.

The lady players are now being included in the men’s competition.

Wednesday’s women are seeing a fine roll up for their day.

Wendy Furze had a win (59-211/2-371/2) with June Major following close behind (57-19-38).

Just for a change the NTP second was on the first shot which Florrie Bickley claimed.

Faye Latter had a lovely drive on the third, winning the straightest drive.

She also claimed a tractor with her drive on the ninth as well as the raffle.

June Major had 13 putts to take the prize.

The Australia Day nine hole stroke event is fast approaching. The day is for both men and women arrive 8.30am for a 9am hit off, followed by a barbecue. Hope to see you there.
